1. What is personal data and what data do we process?

What is personal data?

Personal data is any information, on any medium, relating to an identified or identifiable person: for example your name, an email address, location data or an online identifier.

Whose data is it?

The customer or user who has used the products or services of The Creation Corner. The customer is the person who buys from The Creation Corner; the user is the person who uses the product, who may not be the same person. The Creation Corner protects the personal data of both equally.

What categories of data do we process?

2. Who is responsible for your personal data?

The Creation Corner is responsible for collecting and processing your personal data. We decide which data is collected, how it is processed and for what purposes.

3. On what grounds do we process your data?

4. Why and for how long do we keep your data?

We process your data to deliver the products you buy, provide customer support, handle refunds, and (where you have agreed) send you emails about new courses and helpful art and craft content.

We keep your data only as long as needed for these purposes, or until you object, ask us to delete it or withdraw consent. Some records, such as purchase records, must be kept for a minimum period by law for accounting and tax purposes. When a retention period ends, we delete or anonymise the data.

5. How do we collect your data?

Directly from you, when you buy a course, sign up for an email list or free resource, or contact us by email.

Automatically, through cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website (see section 6).

From our service providers, such as our payment provider, which confirms your purchase so we can give you access.

6. Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.)

We use the Meta Pixel for Facebook and Instagram ads conversion tracking, remarketing and custom audiences. It connects visits and purchases on our site with Meta's advertising network so we can measure and improve our ads. Data collected: cookies and usage data. Processed in the United States. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation)

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our pages, through heatmaps and anonymised session recordings, so we can make the site easier to use. Data collected: cookies and usage data such as clicks, scrolls and device type. We do not use it to capture payment details.

Email marketing

When you buy a course or sign up for a free resource, we collect your name and email address. We use them to deliver what you asked for and, if you have agreed, to send you useful content and news about new courses. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Payments

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We never see or store your full card details. The provider's own privacy policy applies to the data it processes.

System logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep technical logs (such as IP addresses and browser type) to operate and secure the site.

Third-party cookies

We cannot technically control every cookie set by third-party services, so the references above are indicative. Please check the privacy policies of those services for full details, or contact us with any questions. You can also manage advertising cookies through the Network Advertising Initiative and Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tools.

7. Your rights and how to use them

Using these rights is free, except for requests that are clearly unfounded or excessive. We reply within 30 days. To make a request, email hello@thecreationcorner.com. We may need to verify your identity first.

8. Who do we share your data with?

We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, such as our payment provider, email provider, website host, and the analytics and advertising services listed above, under agreements that require them to protect it. We may also share data where the law requires it, for example with tax authorities. We do not sell your personal data.

Some of these providers are based outside your country, including in the United States. When data is transferred internationally, we make sure it is done in line with applicable law.

9. How do we protect your data?

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including secure (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to our accounts and trusted, reputable service providers.

10. Links to other websites

Our pages may link to other websites that we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
